Postpartum Considerations for Psychedelic Therapy

Join Plant Parenthood founder, Rebecca Kronman, for a webinar exploring post-partum issues and psychedelic therapy, featuring Melissa Whippo, LCSW. This webinar explores:

  • Specific needs of post-partum parents to make the therapy more accessible, such as home visits

  • How a post partum body responds differently to substances, and in what  ways clinicians can mitigate this

  • How psychedelic substances are being used to treat those at risk of post partum depression prophylactically

  • Accomodating a breastfeeding/chestfeeding body by altering the route of administration

Melissa Whippo, LCSW, is a psychedelic psychotherapist and the founder of Deva Collective, a non-profit with fiscal sponsorship from MAPS that focuses on the intersection between women’s health and psychedelics research, advocacy and education.
